The "Schneeball" (snow ball) was created about 400 years ago in the area of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Bavaria - Germany), served back then only on special occasions. . Nowadays is the most traditional pastry in the area (also a souvenir!). We got one to share! Missing lately this family vacation in the Dominic Missing lately this family vacation in the Dominican Republic! The sun, sand, and sea were exactly what we needed to recharge and connect with each other. 🌞🏖️🌊 I'm stunned on how small the kids looked (it was Dec/2018)! Canadian families and Europeans ones too (so we learned) are drawn to the Dominican Republic for its stunning beaches, warm weather, and rich culture. For us, it has always been an easy decision: with three kids in tow, we wanted a destination that offered something for everyone - and this country definitely delivers! . From building sandcastles and splashing in the waves, enjoying the hotel and trying new foods (mostly us adults), our days had been filled with hours by the beach or by the pools. . We have been there already 2 times, but we just didn't go back since we moved to Europe, as it is now quite farther. It will definitely be nice to visit it again someday... 🌴👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️ . #familyvacation #dominicanrepublic #beachlife #grateful #familytrips #republicadominicana #SeLoQueQuierasRD

Fun thing is that you can cross the border to Austria right there close to the top (photo 3) and see the beautiful Eibsee (lake - photo 2) with bird's eye view. Luxembourg City was a great surprise for our fami Luxembourg City was a great surprise for our family trip. We spent only a couple of days there in 2019, so a new visit is definitely due. So many things we hadn't experienced! Here are some ideas for things to do: Visit the Luxembourg City Museum: This museum showcases the history and culture of Luxembourg, with interactive exhibits and displays that are perfect for kids. Explore the Old Town: Take a walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town and admire the beautiful architecture and historic buildings. Visit the Bock Casemates: These underground tunnels were used as a fortress and shelter during various conflicts throughout Luxembourg's history. It's a unique and interesting experience for both kids and adults. Walk or bike along the Pétrusse Valley: The Pétrusse Valley is a beautiful green space that runs through the city, offering a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle. Take a boat ride on the Moselle River: The Moselle River runs through Luxembourg and offers scenic boat rides that are a great way to see the city from a different perspective. Visit the Luxembourg City Zoo: The zoo is home to over 500 animals from around the world, including lions, tigers, and monkeys. Explore the Grund district: This historic district is located at the bottom of the cliffs that surround the city and is full of charming streets, restaurants, and shops. Visit the Philharmonie Luxembourg: The Philharmonie is a stunning modern concert hall that hosts a wide range of performances, from classical music to jazz. 90% destroyed in 17 minutes of bombing... Can you 90% destroyed in 17 minutes of bombing... Can you imagine?! (PT - em português na última foto...) . That's part of the history of Würzburg, Germany, which suffered a devastating air strike during WWII in March, 1945. . One of the most important buildings of the city, the Würzburg Residence, also suffered great damage (about 85% destroyed or burned). It was finished originally in 1740 and rebuilt up until 1987. . So sad to see that so much was lost! The palace (outdoor) is really impressive, the kids loved the gardens and I loved the details, especially the 'Hofgartentor', the gate to the gardens from 1748 (original) (it stands in the left hand side of the palace - photo 4). . We really want to come back and visit the interiors, which we heard, are amazing (we had the dogs along that day, so we couldn't visit it).
