Another super park full of attractions for children and adults, the day of visiting Animal Kingdom always yields good memories. On our last trip there, we booked two days to visit the park, basically because our final day coincided with the opening day of the new Pandora: World of Avatar area and we were tempted to meet since we were by Orlando.
Again, we try to maximize FastPass and avoid queues. One of the aspects I like most about this park are the friendly areas for rest, usually super wooded, which also serves as a refuge on these hot days that make in this city. Our favorite area is behind the Flame Tree Barbecue (restaurant), where there is plenty of shade, tables, benches and even few people, judging by the volume of people who had that day.
And for those Avatar fans, we were in the park on opening day for the general public on May 27th. Of course, FastPasses were sold out for the 3 attractions in the area for a long time and we couldn’t get into the toys. But we managed to, visit the area, walk the walkways and even eat a delicious themed dessert (see the post here) and see so many details based on the film. Super friendly (though crowded!).
We did everything a bit and you can follow some of the comments and attractions that we went in the photos below:
Tree of Life and the attraction IT’S TOUGH TO BE A BUG – the coolest thing is that the queue circulates the tree and the little show is in the amphitheater under the tree itself.
DINOLAND U.S.A – I think this area has enough to grow (if I were to give my opinion – hehe). What we loved most was the playground THE BONEYARD – where the girls ran a lot and obviously loved it.
Alice having fun at The Boneyard
TriceraTop Spin
Look who we found at DinoLand U.S.A. – Pluto and Goofy
We also found Donald exploring dinosaurs in DinoLand U.S.A.
The whole family and Donald!
Me and Alice enjoying the queue at dinosaur attraction (we got FastPass for this one)
Some of the visuals of KILIMANJARO SAFARIS – one of the park’s most traditional attractions
One of the most beautiful visuals of the park: Expedition Everest (roller coaster) and the Discovery River (where there is the water show at night).
We stayed for the nightly show on the first day – Rivers of Light
When hunger hits – gives you turkey leg – disney’s super traditional right! (Turkey Leg) – No Yak &Yeti Local Food Cafes
FINDING NEMO – THE MUSICAL – super suitable for kids of all ages – the girls here loved it!
Linda Tree of Life
One of the coolest dates we’ve had – Mickey and Minnie in Adventurers Post
Of course, Pocahontas!
A bit of super production at pandora’s inauguration: World of Avatar

Pandora: World of Avatar – by night
Tree of Life Awakenings – there is every 10 min (approximately) the tree turns and tells a story – very beautiful!
