St. Kitts | Caribbean Cruise

Guys, let me start by thanking you for the numerous comments from the previous post. I loved it – I loved it! Thank you for the affection and so beautiful wishes … And I don’t think I’m going to stop with the blog. 🙂

On Friday we landed at St. Kitts and Nevis, two islands that formerly (there by the ice age) formed a long single island. St. Kitts, whose formal name is Saint Christopher Island, was “discovered” by Christopher Columbus in 1493. St. Kitts or Portuguese, St. Kitts, is also part of the small antilles and has only about 35,000 inhabitants.
We anchor in Basseterre, capital and largest city of the island. We found St. Kitts well intessante and the beach, wow, beautiful beautiful … It was all in the same scheme, get off the ship, take the taxi, spend the day on the beach and go back to the ship.
The beach of South Friars Bay was one of the most convenient and beautiful. Organized and clean bathrooms, bar for refreshments a few meters, comfortable chairs (paid, of course), in addition to clear and warm water. Thumbs up!

St. Kitts ranked 2nd in our beach standings. We love the convenience of that beach combined with the natural beauties and tranquility (great that was not crowded…).
