Tulip Festival 2010

When this time of year comes I marvel at both the impressive colors of the flowers and the landscape and the high temperatures and the longer days, where we enjoy even more and more. It's dawning shortly after 5:00 a.m. and dusk around 8:30 a.m., but you still see light around 9:00 p.m. And on days like the ones you've been doing, full of sun and blue sky, you might even get confused and think you're in a tropical place.

However, yesterday, it was too hot, I went to buy some ceiling fans, because my office-house was boiling, 32ºC with feeling 38ºC. Needless to say, the day didn't yield much. Even our dogs here suffered, hairy as they are, were looking for the best and coolest place in the house (which was hard to find) until they surrendered to lazy sleep stimulated by heat and practically disappeared all day, sleeping in a corner or Other.

Well, late weekend we went to enjoy one of the beauties of spring-summer, visiting once again the Tulip Festival here in Ottawa. Our third, but the first of our visits – Diego's parents. This year, because of the slightly premature and more intense heat, many of the tulips had already removed the team from the field and disappeared. Yes, vaaarios flower beds only with the stem and no flower. Glad that at Commissioner's Park, the tulips were still beautiful, making our tour full of photos (imagine!) and colors.
