    Canada Day!

Yesterday was our 3rd Canada Day and as usual, we went there to Parliament to see the movement and be part of the crowd. This crowd is much larger than the other years due to the visit of the Queen of England (and Canada), Queen Elizabeth. We could not see it live and in color, just on tv, in the end it was not our intention when we decided to go to parliament once again. And today, right, my people, Brasilzão out of the World Cup, eita! Before the World Cup began, I was super uninformed of the team and, I confess, without much hope that they would make beautiful.…

    Ottawa Tourism

    * Thanks for the tips of sites to see the Cup. Thanks!! I'il check if i can't find any channel going through… This weekend, we didn't even have many plans other than a birthday on Saturday night and a football tournament on Sunday morning, but knowing the Doors Open Ottawa 2010, where several places were open to visitation, and better, for free, we took a leap in the Rideau Hall (official residence of the governor general since 1867) and the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat (headquarters of Aga Khan Foundation Canada).  The Aga Khan foundation designed by architect Fumihiko Maki Diego always appearing on the coast in the photos… Hehehe…

    Ottawa Tours

In the last week of Ari and Lourdes here, we took the opportunity to go to the War Museum here in Ottawa, take a quick visit to Gatineau Park and obviously a barbecue.  Remembering that the War Museum has free admission on Thursdays, from 4 to 8 pm, so we take the opportunity to go that day and save some $. 🙂 We had already gone last year with my parents, also on a Thursday, see the post here. And as for the barbecue, a few months ago we learned of a supermarket that sells picanha here in Ottawa. It seems that there was a Brazilian who worked in the…

    Tulip Festival 2010

When this time of year comes I marvel at both the impressive colors of the flowers and the landscape and the high temperatures and the longer days, where we enjoy even more and more. It's dawning shortly after 5:00 a.m. and dusk around 8:30 a.m., but you still see light around 9:00 p.m. And on days like the ones you've been doing, full of sun and blue sky, you might even get confused and think you're in a tropical place. However, yesterday, it was too hot, I went to buy some ceiling fans, because my office-house was boiling, 32ºC with feeling 38ºC. Needless to say, the day didn't yield much.…
