    Madrid – Spain | Script Day 1

    October 22, 2015 /

Starting today our posts reporting our trip to Spain and already explaining that I will divide in many days to be able to explain well the sights and photos, ah, the photos, somany of them. Madrid was a beautiful city to visit and day 1 was full of interesting places. The first post of the series was how to travel around Spain with children – you can read here. Spanish flag in Plaza de Colón We landed at Madrid airport around 8 am local time, but it would be 3:00 p.m. We arrived tired, the girls already awake, with all day ahead. We couldn’t get there and just relax on…

    Brussels – Belgium | Tour Europe 2012

    August 27, 2012 /

Brussels was last in our itinerary, we left to go on the way back from Amsterdam to Paris, where we would take the flight back home. We booked 2 more days to get to know the Belgian capital and I think it was good size too (staying only in the same city…). All that bothered me a little bit was the weather. From the photo below you can see that the sky was blue, but that was in the late afternoon, when we arrived at the hotel, exhausted… The next day, when we started the tours and the other day too, fine and cold rainy the day i-n-t-e-i-r-o. Needless to…

    Amsterdam – Netherlands | Tour Europe 2012

    August 19, 2012 /

That’s what we thought when we were planning the trip to Europe. Because not knowing some more cities, since everything is so close compared to Canada and the States, and of course with Brazil as well. We decided then to go by train from Paris to Amsterdam first and without being the fact that we have to stay the 3 hours closed in a place with a baby who does not want to stop a minute, the trip was very pleasant. The trains are high speed (about 300km/h) and in three hours we arrived in the Dutch capital, without first stopping for passenger descent at the station in Brussels, Belgium…

    Paris – France | Part 3/final.

    August 11, 2012 /

Phew, until at last the report of Paris. It’s just that you see, there were lots and lots of pictures in this unforgettable city. Many of them I wanted to show here and report what happened and such, but just can not, right. So I grouped the photos and even gave 3 posts. Finally, the last 2 days have been intense almost like the first few days. We selected the points we wanted to go and we hadn’t been able to get to know it yet and there we went…   The basilica was busy, but really quiet. After the huge crowds in the Louvre, all the seats seemed empty…

    Paris – France | Part 2

    July 25, 2012 /

Well, third day in the French capital was busy. As soon as we managed to get out of the hotel, yes, because baby Alice likes to sleep late and okay, we don’t complain, we went to the Louvre Museum. After a quick breakfast, we enter this which is one of the most famous museums in the world. After the Louvre, we went to the Centre Pompidou, which houses a public library, the Museum of Modern Art (the largest in Europe) and the IRCAM (centre of music and acoustic research). Then time to visit churches. First the Sainte-Chapelle and then the Notre-Dame de Paris. Fantastic! And finally, we finished the day…

    Paris – France | Part 1

    July 13, 2012 /

This was my first time visiting the old continent, and I was really excited. Diego had been there in 2002, but obviously wanted to go back as well. We just wen for 10 days, and included Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. We chose these cities because they’re close enough to each other that you can easily go by train – and with a 7 month old, we wanted places that didn’t require a long trip. We arrived in Paris around noon after sleeping just a couple of hours during our flight. According to our plans, we went to the RER station, which is the long-distance train from the Metropolitan Area of…
