New York with family | Part III
Beautiful Manhattan visuals aboard the ferry to Liberty Island Just so i don't leave it unfinished here and report our last day in New York with the family. Our last two days, our first "engagement" was to take the tour to Liberty Island, see the statue of liberty, which we arrived very late the day before. Still, the tour was included in the NY City Pass that we bought for the days we were there and part of the group hadn't visited the statue yet. We even had to buy umbrellas, because the weather was a little cloudy and drizzling, but luckily, already on the island, there…

Thousand Islands | 1000 Canadian Islands
The tour we took at the end of our mini trip was in the 1000 islands, beautiful area on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River, well the border between Canada and the United States. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to take this tour and the weather couldn’t have been better, a super sun and moderate heat. The area is an archipelago with 1864 islands, some of a few square meters, others larger, some with only a few trees, others with castles. Two thirds of the islands are in Canada (province of Ontario) and the rest in the United States (State of New York). I searched the…

Kingston – Ontario | Travel s& Canada
On our extended vacation tours, we spent the afternoon at Sandbanks Beach on Friday and chose to sleep in the city of Kingston (about 1am from Sandbanks), which we considered the middle of the way between Ottawa and Toronto. The option of hotels is much larger and was closer to the area of the 1000 Islands (thousand islands) where we wanted to take a tour as well. I rode up a map to visit some of Kingston’s sights, but gave no time for almost anything, the visit was lightning even The city, with just over 115,000 inhabitants, is home to one of Canada’s best-known universities, Queens University and has some…

Sandbanks – Ontario | Beach in Canada
Sandbanks – Outlet Beach Hey guys! Last weekend was feriadão and we took the Friday off to ride a 4-day mini-vacation. We combine with dear friends of Mississauga to enjoy a beach and take a walk through the region of Prince Edward County, Kingston and 1000 Islands, where there are several beautiful places. Today I’m going to tell you a little bit about the beach. We drove about 2h45min +stops, from Ottawa to Sandbanks, on the shores of Lake Ontario. Yes, if you thought the beach was saltwater was mistaken, the beach is lake, but no shame does not. The area offers several beaches, all within the Sandbanks Provincial Park.…

New York with family | Part II
Brooklin Bridge, New On the 5th, we start the day (already close to lunch time, as usual), through the Financial District. Wall Street was our first stop, followed by charging bull (always crowded) and the adjascentes streets. Then, basic walk to the area of the old twin towers, felled in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001. Today, the area is very different from the one we visited in 2010, with the first building already ready, the entire memorial built and the 9/11 museum in operation. The visit to the memorial is free, already the museum is paid (but is included in the New York City Pass). Next, our plan…

Ottawa Tourism | Downtown
When we have visitors from afar, we always take the opportunity to tourist a little here in Ottawa even too. There's always someone who comes who doesn't know any area yet or always has who (and includes us) who want to revisit some favorite locations in the heart of the Canadian capital. Behim we chose a hot Sunday to stroll around downtown Ottawa with the whole gang. One of the points we haven't visited in a while now and that just confirmed it's a great spot to add to the Ottawa itinerary is Nepean Point. This "lookout" is behind the National Gallery of Canada, bordering on yours that goes to…
