10 attractions in Ottawa for Halloween
This year, Halloween will fall on a Saturday (yay!) and there's plenty that can be done here in Ottawa at this upturnedly special season. Here are some of them: Halloween 2012 with Little Alice – LOVE 1.Haunted Walk of Ottawa: These tours take place all year round, but with the cold and longer nights, it seems like the ideal time of year for the tour, where macabre stories are told by professional storytellers. You'll walk through interesting places in downtown Ottawa, hearing about ghosts and other curious and macabre things… uiii. Cost: CAD $14.75 (adults), CAD $12.75 (students), CAD $10.75 (10-14 years old) and free for children under 10. 2.Saunders Farm:…

Madrid – Spain | Script Day 1
Starting today our posts reporting our trip to Spain and already explaining that I will divide in many days to be able to explain well the sights and photos, ah, the photos, somany of them. Madrid was a beautiful city to visit and day 1 was full of interesting places. The first post of the series was how to travel around Spain with children – you can read here. Thanksgiving Tour: Parc Omega
We’ve been wanting to visit Parc Omega for a long time, about an hour from Ottawa. The park is in the Montebello – Quebec region and is an area famous for its large Fairmont Le Château Montebello (we passed there in 2010). We decided to go this Thanksgiving weekend, taking advantage that the temperatures are still mild and the days are still not so short. To start the tour, we had lunch at a local restaurant in Montebello with excellent reviews, Délice Champêtre. There we tasted a handmade hamburger with local Quebec cheese, the traditional poutine and a sandwich with smoked pork, all approved! Québécois Poutine Parc Omega offers…

What it's like to travel to Spain with children
For those who remember, in August, we were in Spain and it was another one of our crazy trips. I say this because, despite being a long and far away trip, we decided half a last minute and we always go to the whole human family. In the end, this was not our first long trip to four, had a small /large tour of the United States when Diana was not even 2 months yet … Jeez… you can check here the first post of that series … But guys, there are so many cool pictures to tell the whole story, I don't even know where to start. As I…

3 weeks in Brazil in pictures
Our time in Brazil this year has passed as fast as every time. On arrival, we think about the three weeks ahead of us and it looks like it's going to last, but in the blink of an eye, it's time to pack up and go home. I love to see family and friends, but I confess that I miss home, wherever we travel. The journey itself, as usual, is exhausting. But this time, we chose to fly from São Paulo directly to Passo Fundo (with a stopover in Washington-DC, since there is no ottawa/São Paulo dirto flight), and it was great, since we don't need the 4+ hours by…
