Burlington , New 1000, New 1 Vermont: Part II
On Sunday (for those who missed the start of the trip – here's the first part), we took advantage of the pool at the hotel in the morning (after all it was what convinced goldfish Alice that the trip would be, in fact, fun) and then we took the opportunity to know some more sights of Burlington. Nearby, we meet another brewery, The Magic Hat and the Vermont teddy bear factory. It even looked like a private pool – our only… It is worth commenting that thermal pools in Canada are beeem cooler than those in Brazil – difficult to enter, at least for me, after it enters is even…

Burlington, New 1000, 20 Vermont: Part I
Last weekend was a holiday, with the Family Day holiday here in Ontario (and President’s Day in the States). We decided to run away from home and spend three days in the state of Vermont, in the States, which borders our old province, Quebec. Our destination was the city of Burlington, which is the largest city in the state, with just over 42,000 inhabitants (and metropolitan area of approximately 211,000 inhabitants), wow, you can see that Vermont is not very populous… 🙂 A lot of people go to Vermont for the good monhanhas for skiing and winter sports, but we were even to relax and enjoy what we could know,…

Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto, Toronto
To make the most of our short trip to the Toronto area, we managed to find some time and visit the newly opened aquarium in downtown Toronto. As you can see in the first photo, it's not hard to find the newest attraction in Canada's largest city: right at the foot of Toronto's biggest symbol, the CN Tower. The Ripley's Aquarium of Canada opened to the public about 2 1/2 months ago on October 16, 2014. We've heard stories that since then the place is always full of long lines and crowds, so we prefer to buy the ticket online and leave it to go later. And although the entrance…

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Part II | Caribbean Cruise
On our last day before the return trip, we disembarked from the ship (which happens by an order of numbers – the landing started from 7 am, but our time arrived there by 10am – and yes, we were able to enjoy breakfast on board at least) , we took advantage of the day to get to know a little more of San Juan, since our flight home would only take place the next day. We left our bags in the hotel that was in the vicinity of the port and went to our first point which was the Fort San Cristóbal, also in Viejo San Juan, which is the…

Maarten Sint | Caribbean Cruise
Anyway, on Saturday, we arrived in St. Maarten, considered the smallest oceanic island shared by two different nations. The population of about 78,000 inhabits the island which was divided by France and the Netherlands in 1648, 60% French and 40% Dutch. We landed in the Dutch part of the island Sint Maarten (in the French area call Saint Martin), soon we have already taken a Water Taxi, but it is possible to reach the beach and the Philipsburg area on foot, as we did on the way back. We found the Philipsburg area super friendly and say it’s great for shopping (we saw several stores there, some of well-known brands…

St. Kitts | Caribbean Cruise
Guys, let me start by thanking you for the numerous comments from the previous post. I loved it – I loved it! Thank you for the affection and so beautiful wishes … And I don’t think I’m going to stop with the blog. 🙂 /// On Friday we landed at St. Kitts and Nevis, two islands that formerly (there by the ice age) formed a long single island. St. Kitts, whose formal name is Saint Christopher Island, was “discovered” by Christopher Columbus in 1493. St. Kitts or Portuguese, St. Kitts, is also part of the small antilles and has only about 35,000 inhabitants. We anchor in Basseterre, capital and largest…
