    Hopewell Rocks | New Brunswick

    October 11, 2016 /

High tide at Hopewell Rocks I decided to make a special post for our visit to Hopewell Rocks because the place is really unique. Not only by the peculiar nature and the stones of unique shapes, but by the best known aspect of the place, the biggest tidal change in the world. And I confess that it is almost hard to believe that the level of water and well say, the whole landscape, change so much in a matter of a few hours. Across the Bay of Fundy or Bay of Fundy, approximately every 6 hours there are many meters of water that go and then come back, creating low…

    Moncton | New Brunswick

    September 30, 2016 /

The starting point of our trip was Moncton, in the province of New Brunswick, canada’s only bilingual province. The city of Moncton is very organized and small with only 69,000 inhabitants in the city and just over 138,000 in the metropolitan region. And perhaps because it is small, the city itself does not offer a huge diversity of activities and tourist places, but we managed to make the most of the two and a half days we were there. Our flight was direct Ottawa-Moncton, whose airport is in the nearby town of Dieppe. All quiet, the girls behaved and landed just before noon there. We decided to visit Magnetic Hill…

9 years in Canada | 9 things we'd do differently

    September 24, 2016 /

And that time of year has come once again where we put mentally in the balance the fact that we live in a country so far from the one where we were born. This year, we turned 9 years old in Canadian lands, 9 years in the Ottawa/Gatineau region, 9 years of many learnings, mistakes and successes, but above all, the certainty that we made the right decision back there, when we decided for adventures that would undoubtedly change our lives. I thought it would be a good idea to talk about things, after these years here, we would have done differently or still want to do if we imitated…

    Canadian maritime provinces with children

    September 20, 2016 /

Beautiful view of Lunenburg – NS Who recently followed our fb page and my Instagram must have seen that we went to meet three new Canadian provinces that we have not yet known, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island (PEI) and Nova Scotia and we took the opportunity to celebrate diego's birthday during the trip. They are the so-called Canadian maritime provícias and that are to the east of the country, by the Atlantic Ocean, beautiful places, filled with a lot of history and customs of their own. I'm preparing posts for each of the major cities we visited in the provinces, Moncton, Charlottetown and Halifax and a super long video…

New York with family | Part III

    August 16, 2016 /

Beautiful Manhattan visuals aboard the ferry to Liberty Island   Just so i don't leave it unfinished here and report our last day in New York with the family.   Our last two days, our first "engagement" was to take the tour to Liberty Island, see the statue of liberty, which we arrived very late the day before. Still, the tour was included in the NY City Pass that we bought for the days we were there and part of the group hadn't visited the statue yet. We even had to buy umbrellas, because the weather was a little cloudy and drizzling, but luckily, already on the island, there…

Thousand Islands | 1000 Canadian Islands

    August 11, 2016 /

The tour we took at the end of our mini trip was in the 1000 islands, beautiful area on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River, well the border between Canada and the United States. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to take this tour and the weather couldn’t have been better, a super sun and moderate heat. The area is an archipelago with 1864 islands, some of a few square meters, others larger, some with only a few trees, others with castles. Two thirds of the islands are in Canada (province of Ontario) and the rest in the United States (State of New York). I searched the…
