Process to be an architect in Canada

For those who follow the blog or know me a little more about us know that I have a degree in architecture and urbanism and work in my area here in Canada for more than 8 years. I got my first job here in the icy lands just over a month after I arrived. I intend to write a little about how is the job market in this area here in Ottawa in another post, but Could not fail to mention here the process of validating the diploma of architect in Canada, since it is one of the questions I get most from both Facebook and the blog to tho.…

    Barcelona – Spain | Day 2

The second day in Barcelona was so, if not more intense than the first, if that’s possible hehe. We walked a lot and tried to select sights on our map that were somewhat close to each other and we could walk if everything was right (I mean, the girls were not so tired and our feet were accepting). All our days began with the trip to the subway and from there, until near a tourist spot to begin with. We found it easier that way and the Barcelona metro also seemed easy to navigate. Here are the sights we spent on the 2nd: Arc of Triomf Parc de la Ciutadella…

    Barcelona – Spain | Day 1

Our days by one of the most fascinating cities of the world were intense, to say the least. I think that’s where we walked the most of the whole trip. Barcelona, capital of Catalunya has many and many things to see and of course we could not visit everything, but we could check out many of the main sights during our 4 days in the city (and even old dear friends we could find, look how cool!). Getting there, we feel in the skin that Catalan, spoken in the province, is even very different from Spanish (and I dare say it looked more like French than Spanish) and we noticed…

    Diana – 1 year

Our Diana, who looks like she was born yesterday (i can't believe!) completed 1 cuddle on Christmas Day. She arrived as a wonderful gift in 2014 and now every year we have the opportunity to celebrate not only Christmas but her birthday on December 25th. And what about our little girl, who is now 12 and a half months old. She is fearless, curious and determined. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want (she really does not with her head or points out whatever isn't at her fingertips). There are few obstacles you can't overcome. If there's something on the couch she wants, get a toy to…

    Madrid | best moments

Whenever we travel, we take so many photos, but videos are still beginning… I think about recording our wanderings more to detail, but in the rush or mess of the hour, we end up just taking pictures even or just making such videos when we have more time. Anyway, we recorded several moments in Spain in August and although my idea is to put together a unique video of each city, with the best moments, I do not see how I would find time to sit and devote the time necessary for such (since neither the photos of Barcelona , Valencia and Seville I posted yet). Anyway, my solution was…

    Warner Park in Madrid, Spain

On one of the days we were in Spain, we planned to visit the Warner Park in Madrid, about 45 minutes from downtown. That was the highlight of the journey for Alice, who obviously loved it, To get there wasn’t that easy. We decided to walk from the hotel to Atocha station, detail that were more than 2.5 km, but we chose to get to know the streets and points that we would hardly see if we had gone by subway. Arriving there at the station, we took a train of surroundings (intermunicipal and circulating within the city of Madrid too, almost like a second metro) to arrive in the…
