Part II – Ville de Québec

Hi all Today I come to post, mostly photos, our tour of Ville de Québec. We were there, me, Diego, Ari and Lourdes, on Saturday, June 7, coming from Montreal where we were staying in a super comfortable inn, whose owners are very fine people say in passing. Well, we decided to go back and forth the same day, since the next morning we’d go to Formula One. We had already imagined and had heard that the city was beautiful and really confirmed itself. Ville de Quebec proved to be a charming city, being for its historic architecture or for its natural beauties. The main sights are basically located in…

    Montreal – Part I

Montreal and part of motorsport, As you may have noticed in the title of the post, the events of the last weekend will be separated by chapters, and it would be impossible to post the 240 photos in the same post … Hehehe Ari and Lourdes, Diego’s parents, are here with us, realizing the first visits from Brazil at newhome. Therefore, we planned right away a trip to Montreal and Ville de Québec, to also show the Quebecoises beauties to them (and we who also did not know Ville de Québec). On Friday the 1st, we went for a walk through Montreal and began to feel the atmosphere of Formula…

    Tulip Festival | 2008

Hello dear guys! What to do if you don't talk about the flowers…? Especially the tulips that are in their turn to take care of the ottawa landscape. Good for coloring the urban landscape and even better for bringing all the energy that spring has to offer. We were at Gatineau Park last weekend and we were surprised by the extent of the park. We digirimos inside the park for about 25 minutes and did not travel even 15% of it. The staff takes the opportunity to go cycling there, but unlike us, they all seem super professional pedal (fully equipped etc). We were also in Jacques Cartier Park, also…

    Mont Ste Marie | Quebec

We decided to kind of last minute enjoy the long weekend due to Easter and go skiing (finally). This station is about 55min from Ottawa and offered ski lessons for beginners (our case). We love the adventure and promise to practice again next winter. Sunrise in Ottawa – 7 a.m. Equipment ready for adventure… Still thinking it would be easy… Don’t think it was that mountain back there we started… Ski slopes for the advanced (we in a few years). Diego also coming down… It hadn’t even started and the boot was already killing me… Hehe I like that one. Center of the station where the ticket office, restaurants and…

Winterlude 2008 and carnival on ice

Rideau Channel frozen and open for skating (in the background)… Hey, guys! I quickly post some photos from last week where we went to a Carnival party organized by Brazilians here in Ottawa. It was very fun and had several "foreigners" (Canadians and other nationalities) who joined the party. There was even Brahma beer imported from Brazil for those who missed the Brazilian beer in this hot summer season and holidays for many in the bands there … And this Sunday we went to Winterlude, which is the winter festival here, with attractions for 3 weeks, including ice sculptures, concerts, channel skating, typical foods among others. The photos speak for…

    First hockey game!!

Hello guys!! After the disappearance I reappear with news … I'm glad friends send us messages demanding posts, because then I find time anyway to write … right Gadi and Suzi! Hehehe Earlier this month we went to our first hockey game here in the icy lands. Our "team of the heart" is now the Senators and the game was against Tampa Bay of usa. The arena is super organized and modern and altogether fit about 22,000 people seated. The big surprise of the night was that every game is a show apart: lights, gifts, exciting songs, all this to try to cheer up the unmotivated Canadians, who were pushing…
