Our dogs in the Canadian winters
I have received some questions about how to take care of our furry kids in the Canadian winter, especially on the colder days and the snowy days, so behold, this post comes to tell a little of our experience with our dogs in the cold weather here in Ontario, Canada. Dexter and Eddie were born in Canada, so they’ve known the cold their whole lives so far, but of course, since they are small in size, they are more susceptible to low temperatures. In general, even if it is a really cold day, life goes on, just as for people. But I can tell you, they kind of hibernate during…

Diana | 3 years old
Diana 3 years old Behold, our second princess completed three years this past Christmas. Even after three years, I still haven't gotten used to the fact that she chose the 25th to come into the world. This time is already full of things and since she arrived, we've added her birthday celebration too, of course. That year, we chose to have a little party, super intimate, the next day, not to miss the date in "white". Diana every day proves to us that she is a big girl already, away from the baby stage. We understand 100% of the things she talks about, both in English and Portuguese, and she…

Retrospective 2017
Photo of almost the whole family – missed dexter – last day of 2017 First day of the new year! 2018 arrived keeping the friaca that settled almost 2 weeks ago here by Ottawa. The temperatures did not mark anything above -20ºC and the thermal sensation was in the negative thirty for several days (including today). But anyway, go to the cold, today is the day that well that flood of things. Memories of what was the past year and expectations for the coming year. 2018 promises to be unforgettable, especially by the new member who arrives there in the first quarter. After that, we don't really know what awaits…

Our Christmas traditions
We are there two days from Christmas practically and with each passing year, we are adding some traditions to our end of the year, more specifically related to Christmas. For six years we really cared about this, before the kids, the Christmas tree was the most we cared about, besides, of course, the exchange of gifts. This year, however, I notice that our traditions have been taking security and I see that they have come to stay. Some have been with us forever and others we adopt here in Canada. Here's the list of things that are our Christmas traditions this year: CHRISTMAS TREE It was their job to put…

Alice – 6 years old
Visiting the Colosseum in Rome Our firstborn completed 6 years at the end of September and as we went to travel well on her day, ended up not leaving the post here before, but of course, could not help talking about this very special moment for her and our whole family. Because I count each year as a great milestone in childhood, given how much each child develops from one year to the next at that age. Alice remains a super energetic, curious and humorous girl. She also has moments when she is angry and stubborn, but which child is not at that age right. We love her conversations about…

Baby #3 on the way…
Natural smiles or not so much, but all happy for sure! For those who follow the #instagram of the blog, saw that the great novelty of the year is that the family is increasing again, comes around another canadian little boy or girl to bring many joys to our family. And I start by saying that it was no surprise, we had been discussing the idea for months, but it was a certain scare at first, because the baby came right away, without having to wait too long. Good and blessed scare, of course. We're halfway through the pregnancy, 20 weeks, about the beginning of the fifth month. Baby is…
