    Barbados | Caribbean Cruise

    September 21, 2013 /

Barbados was our second destination on the trip, after a whole day at sea – Fun Day at the Sea – is what they call it. Barbados has been an independent island country since 1966 and is part of the small Antilles. She has a similarity to Canada, we have the same queen. The island, considered Atlantic and non-Caribbean, has about 284,000 inhabitants, is one of the most developed islands and is also considered one of the most popular destinations in the southern Caribbean (it is close to Venezuela and even Brazil…). Our ship docked early on at the cruise terminal in Bridgetown, capital of Barbados and soon we were…

    Carnival Valor | Caribbean Cruise

    September 13, 2013 /

*Thank you for the congratulations for the sale of the house – many adventures come around … 🙂 *For those who missed the first posts of this trip: Here and Here That was my first time on a cruise ship. Well, it’s better to call it the city, because the business is big. All right, any cruise ship is big anyway, I just couldn’t assimilate how much. Question you won’t shut up: ready for a flood of photos? We sailed the Carnival Valor, more by the script than by the ship itself. But Valor did not fail to have good comments despite having started its services there 2004. It holds…

St. Thomas – Virgin Islands | Caribbean Cruise

    September 7, 2013 /

After boarding the ship (post on the ship comes soon) and enjoy the night at night on the high seas, the next morning it’s time to enjoy the beach. St. Thomas is close to Puerto Rico and is a district of the United States Virgin Islands, incorporated territory of the United States. The capital is Charlotte Amalie and is where the port where we landed is. The whole island has just over 51,000 inhabitants. As soon as we disembarked, we informed ourselves about the interesting beaches and not far away and chose to visit the beach of Magens Bay (also had already read that it was one of the best…

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Part I | Caribbean Cruise

    August 30, 2013 /

As soon as Diego confirmed that he would have a week’s vacation, we began the search for our destination. He ordered a place where he could rest. Most of the cities we considered would have hours of hiking, museums and attractions. It just wasn’t what he had in mind and no problem for me. Always wanted to travel aboard a cruise and of course, meet other beautiful beaches and Diego could not wait to make his second trip sailing (he had already gone with his family, there in 1998). After many researches among the possibilities (and there are so many!!), we opted for Carnival, leaving San Juan, Puerto Rico. The…

    Canadian Passport

    August 28, 2013 /

Wow, I'm back, computer survived. While preparing the posts of the trip … there how many pictures … I decided to count our semi-saga to get the Canadian passport before our trip. Brand new The fact is that on the day of the citizenship ceremony they collect their permanent resident card, so without major farewells, we went to our cards that were still young (we renewed them last year, since they were worth only 5 years). Thus, knowing of our impending trip (and that without the PR cards, we could not enter Canada again), we commented with the woman in charge of checking the documents and such, that we would…

Flying back after paradise | Caribbean Cruise

    August 20, 2013 /

In the air We returned from a beautiful trip aboard a ship and with several stops by small islands in the southern Caribbean. Ai a. what a paradise… We arrived more than 1 am at home, without any clean diaper in the luggage and naturally tired, but everything went well and we did not catch turbulence on the flights … our stomach thanks… Now someone tells me how it makes to get used to these stewardships of having the room tidy twice a day, towels always dry, tidy bed, breakfast with plenty, peeled and cut fruits, pizza and ice cream available 24 hours a day (no charge), dinners entitled to…
